Euroins insurance JSC with special terms for border MTPL insurance for vehicles with Ukrainian registration numbers

Euroins insurance JSC on the initiative and together with Euroins Ukraine provides special terms  for border MTPL insurance for vehicles with Ukrainian registration numbers. The special terms  apply to all vehicles with Ukrainian registration numbers arriving in the Republic of Bulgaria, as well as to those already located in the country.

Any person who drives a car registered in a third country (outside the European Economic Area) is obliged upon entering the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria to conclude a contract for border MTPL insurance in accordance with the Insurance Code in Bulgaria Art. 483, para. 1, item 2. The insurance covers the civil liability of the insured natural person for the property and non-property damages caused by him to third parties, related to the possession and use of motor vehicles with registration outside the Republic of Bulgaria.

For vehicles entering the country with Ukrainian registration numbers, having a valid MTPL  Insurance and the presence of an international Green Card certificate, it is also recommended to take out a border MTPL insurance. In view of the military actions in the Republic of Ukraine and in case of an insurance event, the insurance claims filed in connection with it will not be able to be serviced under the Ukrainian "Green Card" certificate.

The insurance is concluded only in the offices of Euroins Bulgaria, on the territory of the whole country, without using the services of insurance intermediaries. The due premium is paid on concluding the policy and is determined according to the tariff in force as of the date of concluding, according to the type of vehicle and the term of the insurance coverage. The validity is for a period of up to 90 days, and it can be reissued, so that the total term for all issued insurance for the vehicle does not exceed 180 days within one calendar year.
