Euroins Renews Its Support for L’Etape Bulgaria by Tour de France

For the fourth consecutive year, Euroins is the official insurer of L’Étape Bulgaria by Tour de France 2026, the Bulgarian edition of the world-renowned cycling event.

The event will take place alongside Tour de France 2026, which this year starts in Barcelona for the first time in the race’s history and covers an impressive 3,333-kilometre route. The 113th edition of the legendary race crosses five mountain ranges, including a double ascent of Alpe d’Huez, one of France’s most iconic mountain destinations, before finishing on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, making the Bulgarian race even more exciting for cycling enthusiasts.

L’Étape Bulgaria by Tour de France is the largest amateur cycling race in Bulgaria, organized in accordance with the rules and spirit of the Tour de France. The event is designed for both amateur cyclists and fans of the iconic French race.

This year’s edition, taking place on 4 and 5 July in the town of Peshtera, will once again transform the Rhodope Mountains into a stage for sport, excitement, and an active lifestyle. Participants will be able to choose between two routes, 58 km and 112 km, tailored to different levels of experience and fitness. Both routes start from the centre of Peshtera and pass through scenic areas around the Batak Reservoir. Traffic along the race routes will be completely closed to ensure maximum safety and provide riders with an authentic professional racing experience.

In addition to the main competition, the programme includes a wide range of activities for participants, families, and visitors. On 4 July, Peshtera will host a series of warm-up events, including a children’s race, a family ride on a closed course, and special attractions for Tour de France fans, including the opportunity to take photos with the famous “Devil Didi”, one of the most recognizable figures associated with the world’s most prestigious cycling race.

As a socially responsible company, Euroins supports initiatives that promote sport, active lifestyles, and safety. All registered participants in L’Étape Bulgaria by Tour de France 2026 will be covered under a group “Tourism in Bulgaria” insurance policy, which provides coverage for accident-related expenses incurred during the race, up to the limits specified in the insurance policy.

L’Étape Bulgaria by Tour de France 2026 is organized by Sports Club “Sofia in Europe”, Sport Skills, the Municipality of Peshtera, and a number of Bulgarian and international partners.
