Euroins supports the organization of the eleventh edition of the "Sofia Ekiden Marathon" 2025.

On September 6, 2025, for the eleventh consecutive year, Euroins will support the organization of the "Sofia Ekiden Marathon" 2025, organized by the Youth Sports Club "Sofia – Europe," with the assistance of the "Sofia – European Capital of Sport" Foundation and under the patronage of the Japanese Ambassador to Bulgaria.

Traditionally, the start and finish of the marathon will be in front of the Vasil Levski National Stadium, at the intersection of Evlogi and Hristo Georgievi Boulevard and Gurko Street. The competition is team-based and conducted as a relay, with each team consisting of six participants in six categories, covering the classic marathon distance of 42.195 km, divided into legs of 5 km + 10 km + 5 km + 10 km + 5 km + 7.195 km. The discipline is licensed by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), and the Sofia course meets all international standards.

The "Sofia Ekiden Marathon" is held with the aim of promoting relay road running in Bulgaria. The race is officially included in the celebrations of the Days of Japanese Culture in Bulgaria. Relay marathons are highly emotional events and are among the most popular competitions in the world of athletics. In different countries, these races go by various names, but the organizers of the Bulgarian event prefer the classic “Ekiden” – in honor of the Japanese tradition.
