Euroins supports the organization of the Friendship Marathon in Pleven.

On May 17, 2026, the twelfth edition of the Friendship Marathon will take place in Plovdiv. The event will transform the city center into a meeting place for professional athletes, amateurs, children, families, volunteers, and people with different experiences and motivations, united by the desire to be part of something meaningful — namely, the marathon’s cause of providing scholarships for disadvantaged medical students. The initiative is part of the “Ready for Success” campaign by the BCause Foundation.

More than 1,000 participants from various countries are expected to take part in this year’s competition. Both experienced runners and people who are only now discovering running as their passion will stand at the starting line. The race categories include: the classic 42.2 km marathon, 21.1 km half marathon, 10.55 km race, 2×10.55 km relay, and the 3 km Decathlon mass cross-country run. A special place is also reserved for the youngest participants with the VIDAS Run Kids race, giving children aged 6 to 12 the opportunity to take their first steps in sports in a supportive and friendly environment. The marathon program also includes a special inclusion run for people with different needs and abilities, organized in partnership with the Maria's World Foundation and Jamba.

Volunteers from different countries, ethnicities, and communities will also participate in the preparation of the large-scale event, contributing with their support to the friendly spirit and atmosphere of the marathon.

The twelfth edition of the Friendship Marathon in Pleven is organized by leading foundations and social enterprises in Bulgaria whose primary mission is to support disadvantaged people and individuals with different abilities: Ice-Open, Sports Club “Da Byagash,” Maria's World Foundation, Social Future – Jamba Foundation, in partnership with Municipality of Pleven, the Center for Work with Children – Pleven, Sports Club “Elite Running” from Romania, the Bulgarian Association for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities, the BCause Foundation, Autism Today, and with the support of many companies for which corporate and social responsibility and contribution to building a sustainable civil society are fundamental principles of their business.
