Euroins to Offer Motor Third-Party Liability Insurance to Bulgarian Carriers at a Maximum Price of €1,998
News
Sofia, June 9, 2026 – One of Bulgaria’s leading insurance companies, Euroins Insurance JSC (Euroins Bulgaria), will offer annual Motor Third-Party Liability Insurance to Bulgarian transport companies engaged in international freight transport and logistics services at a maximum premium of EUR 1,998 per heavy goods vehicle (international tractor units with semi-trailers, trucks, and lorries).
The special pricing conditions have been agreed with the active support of the Bulgarian Export Insurance Agency (BAEZ) and following extensive negotiations and consultations with the Ministry of Economy, Investments and Industry (MEII) and the Financial Supervision Commission (FSC). These conditions form part of the Bulgarian government's anti-inflation measures and provide tangible support to more than 1,200 Bulgarian transport companies operating international freight services across three continents. The sector employs over 30,000 people and generates more than EUR 2 billion in annual turnover.
The initiative aims to preserve the competitiveness of Bulgarian transport companies engaged in international transport and delivery services, which represent a strategically important sector of the Bulgarian economy and provide livelihoods for thousands of Bulgarian families. It is designed to bring meaningful relief to the industry and provide stability and predictability during a period of significant challenges in international markets.
“The agreed Motor Third-Party Liability Insurance terms for Bulgarian carriers and the partnership between business and government demonstrate that when all stakeholders work together in a constructive and coordinated manner, positive results can be achieved for the entire Bulgarian economy,” commented Joanna Tsoneva, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Euroins.
Euroins will require transport operators to commit to implementing and applying a set of measures aimed at effectively reducing the high insurance risk and significant claims frequency within the sector.
